quitting.....still wanting to

thank you for the advice. i work in a catholic school and the problem isn't that i can't do it, it's that the principal has time schedules on what to teach and how long to teach it and when to teach it. for example, 90 minutes of reading a day, 45 minutes of math a day, 30 min of phonics a day, etc. i wasn't taught this way of teaching. i want to take advantage of "teachable moments" and that's not possible. i got into a "talk" with him because of being seen doing this. if i quit i would work in the public school as a sub until something else comes up. i don't even think i'd use this as a reference.

please keep the advice coming. i'm not sure if it's worth getting physically sick each day i get ready for work.
