handwriting

I have a girl who is also an excellent reader but I couldn't read her handwriting. Her mom has been working with her on her fine motor skills by coloring, cutting, playdoh,etc. Her handwriting is improving. I'm amazed. I hate to admit it, but mom came up with the idea of working on her fine motor skills instead of my suggestion of buying a handwriting book and working on letter formation at home.
