Hi, I am getting my master's in Technology and I also teach first grade. Maybe you could try doing a powerpoint presentation on animals or another topic. Then in groups the children could chose something from the presentation and do a written response. Their is also a site that teaches the watercycle through a story online. Find the topic you want and then possibly make slides with voice overs. Hopefully this helps. I also know someone who did a powerpoint in first grade on the chinese new year. You could always do one on St. Patty's day!
