testing
By Becky Turnbough

Clip to ScrapBook
My school does SAT-9 testing in the fall in all grades, except K (they've only been in school one month when testing starts). The test is almost completely read by the teacher. Although it can be stressful for some students, the information gained from it is helpful. For example, it has helped us identify "holes" in our math program. However, if you try to use the scores individually to label your students it would be a mistake. Because they are new at testing, their test scores can dramatically change the next year.
