I just found out that I will be starting on Monday January 14th. I was in the classroom today for only about one hour and I did not know I would be staring after the weekend. I grabbed the reading series book, the last
teachers planbook so I know what they did (kind of because it is not very complete). I plan on starting the week like it was the first day of school (rules, practicing rules, practicing walking in the hall, bathroom breaks). I am feeling quite overwhelmed. Also this class as I have heard is quite challenging behavior wise. I want to be firm, but not allienate them since they are going

to be going through a change with a new teacher. What are essentials for the room? The room has some stuff in it but not much and the stuff that is in there I think that I want to change. Yikes!
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated
