A bit more information, please. Are you planning on keeping your individual classrooms and have the students move between them for different subjects? Are you doing this to meet student needs in some way? Are there other first grade classrooms in your building?

I've done several things related to this. I teamed with two other third grade teachers during reading. I've also seen an open classroom situation where 100 first graders moved fluidly through four teachers for different subjects. And, currently, I'm job sharing a first grade with another teacher. All of these situations have pros and cons, depending on what you're trying to accomplish.
