I found an old armchair last year that someone didn't want any longer and it changed my class so much! I bought a nice piece of fabric to cover it with. Now I do all my read-alouds in it and my students get to sit in it to share their reading or writing. When we have parents-guest they get to sit in it too. It makes the room look nice, the kids love to be allowed to sit in it and I enjoy it myself when I take 5 min off at the end of the day.
I also like plastic bins to store books, supplies, or even stuff that I need to sort out...later!
