Clip to ScrapBook
I worked for 7 years with 3/4 yr. olds and we did programs both at Christmas and in the spring.
We practiced (a lot!)... and usually did a combination of 2-3 songs/fingerplays for a total of about 5 minutes of stardom!

Some ideas:
* Something patriotic in honor of 9-11... The Pledge of Allegiance, Yankee Doodle, firefighter fingerplays, Hats with stars and stripes etc.

* Silly songs- Skidda-ma-rink, Do Your Ears Hang Low, Peanut- Peanut Butter and Jelly!

* Nursery Rhymes!... You could dress like Mother Goose. (Sad to say but many of today's children don't know these)

* Sing BINGO - Clap

or sssh! as you take letters away. Add other dog songs.. maybe How Much is That Doggie in the Window.

* Incorporate a book like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
Children can repeat the main phrase, each child has a hat with a the letter of the alphabet, extra children can have coconut or tree hats. When their letter is read from the book they stand up."Coconuts" and "tree" children can
dance when group says chicka- chicka part.

* Fishing theme: kids wear rolled-up jeans, bare feet, flannel shirts, maybe fishing hats if have them. Find fish tunes / fingerplays or maybe do Way Down Yonder in the Paw Paw Patch.

Picking a theme is one of the easiest ways to start... Good Luck and Have Fun!
