Heroes

HI, I just finished a unit on heroes with my kindergarten class. Amazing Grace was voted our class hero. We also talked about heroes that surround us everyday-people who work in the school, grandparents, etc. We discussed what makes a person a hero-then the children chose someone from their life who was their hero. They traced their bodies and painted them to look like their hero--we invited our heroes for snack and gave them awards! Hope you enjoy it-this was a fun unit with this age group. Hope it helps!
