I start to play a quick game and let them join in. I clap pattern is easy or we play mirror - which is nice and quiet.Sometimes when I cannot get them to settle down at group time I will cover my eyes and wait. It is amazing to hear how shocked they get and how quickly they quiet down. I will ask is everybody ready? Can I look now? They think it is so funny and they settle down.
