Noise

Here's what I do to keep the noise level down in K-- I have the class on a point system. If the whole class gets 5 points in a day we have a "surprise" in the afternoon (guest reader for a read-aloud, popcorn party, whatever incentive). When we're cleaning up or starting to settle down I say "OK, let's see if the class can earn a point for this cleanup. I like the way Oscar has his finger on his lip while cleaning up etc..."
