Each year the NEA celebrates Dr. Seuss' birithday called Read Across America. This year it will be celebrated on March 1. Many schools plan activities on this day to promote reading. Parents are asked to read to thier child, schools ask community members to read in the classrooms. It is a celebration of reading. You can go to nea.org for ideas.
