Send letter home for students to do a peanut hunt. Look for items (with help) that contain peanut. Discuss George Washington Carver and his peanut discovery. Serve a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or peanut butter cookies (be aware of the peanut allergy). Using a paper bag make Kente hats. Children paint the paper ahead of time then you cut them to fit around their head. Use red, yellow green and black and discuss Ghana and Kente clothes.
