sensory

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach Sp. Ed. Many of my students have sensory issues. Most of them get at the minimum consult with the Occupational Therapist while some get direct pull out services. You should contact you local Sp. Ed. Cooperative and talk to an OT for activites. For instance, one of my students sits on a special cushion seat. Another needs to have brain gym activities or some even need a sensory diet. No its not food. It is a plan of activities to do at a certain time the child needs it. Some students wear weighted vests. ETC. If you can't get any help- e mail me directly and I will try to send you some sensory activites. A lot of children on the Autism Spectrum have sensory issues. Let me know if I can help any further.
