We had a provincial walkout (they would not call it a strike because it was not against our board of education but against the province of Ontario) my first year of teaching. We were out for two weeks (I think). The lack of pay is the worst thing. We walked the picket line every day in 2 hour shifts and had rallys. I gave the staff at our school some great bonding time but I was glad to get back into the classroom. Where are you? Since I am in Canada February would not be my first choice of a time to go on strike (COLD). Let me know your email address. Good luck with the impending strike. Sherri
