time
By Andrea Kratz

Clip to ScrapBook
We always cover fractions (1/4 and 1/2) before we begin time. We also have strong skip counting skills by 5 and 10. I introduce time with a large floor clock made from a round table cloth and long wood blocks. We sit around the clock and work with it. When that is going well I add the small clocks and cards for them to show the time on as well. We have even shown the time using kindergarten friends as the hands. It has been a proven hit for gaining understanding.
