Quiet Time

I was also frustrated with the kids not "resting" so I decided to use the time more wisely by reading chapter books to them. I started with Junie B. Jones and they loved her so I have continued with them. The kids can draw or color by themselves or just lie down and rest if they choose. My quiet time is only 25-30 minutes and is not mandatory, so I can adjust the time if needed.
