Seasons Art Book
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
My favorite activity I do for seasons is to make an art book. Each page is a half sheet of construction and I use a different media for each page. We focus on one season a day , I read a story and poem for each season, we
discuss what it feels like, looks like, etc. Then we make the page whole class. At the bottom we write a sentence, Fall is colorful. for example. Then the art work is torn paper trees, using tissue paper. Winter is cold. Gray paper, torn paper trees and snow out of shaving cream and glue mixed up. Spring is rainy. Crayon picture of themselves with umbrellas, on white construction
paper, with blue watercolor crayon resist. Summer is hot. blue construction paper, brown paper torn diaganolly(glue on top of the blue paper, creating a beach shore, and then they color themselves swimming, laying on the beach, etc.
