Because you are starting in the middle of the year, the kids will be used to their other teacher's rules, routines, and procedures. If they say, "Well, Miss so-and-so did this." Remind them that you are not Miss so-and-so and that this is what they need to do now. It will take some getting used to (on both parts) but be firm and strong from the beggining. Also, don't believe everything they tell you about what Miss So-and-so let them do. LOL
