If you had the ideal kindergarten classroom schedule, what would it look like? What would your environment look like? How much play would go on? What would be your role in the play environment? Where do the intensive academics fall? What would reading and writing and math instruction look like? Would it look a certain way for children who have grown up in poverty (i.e. more academic so that they can "catch up" to their more privileged peers who have presumably had more literacy rich experiences)? These questions are many, and I appreciate everyone's perspectives that I have gotten, so answer as many of these questions as you wish! Thanks.
