mobilization
By Julianne

Clip to ScrapBook
Julia,
Of course this qualifies as a vent. My husband is in the military, but will not be mobilized unless things get significantly worse. Even so, I wonder about how it would affect us. You and your children are embarking
on quite an adventure. Some of it will be awful, but I bet some of it will draw the four of you closer together. Be sure to utilize all of the military family assistance that is available to you. In your area there are bound to be other families affected by mobilization and they may be able to provide the support your far-away family can't. Some more things to be grateful for:

e-mail
your

school "family"
your 11 year old (who will get older fast)
great military health care
cheap long distance phone rates
instant messaging
your 3 year old (who will take a lot of time and keep your mind off your own woes)
Post office parcel post rates
friends and neighbors who know your husband has been called up
Your 8 year old (who will be silly, sad, kind and angry in turns)

You aren't alone. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
