Principal concerns
By anxious alot too

Clip to ScrapBook
I tell you. Now I am a nervous wreck. I just had my evaluation with my principal and I was speechless. All the "good" items, strong managment, communication skills, etc. she glossed over and dwelled on negatives -- I was
in so much shock I couldn't speak. I have never had a bad evaluation in my life. My official write-up was good, but in conference - she went on and on about what I could have done or what she would have liked to have seen me do. Problem is, I do those things all the time. And she knows it. And, the things she suggested were not applicable to my objectives.

She also sends out such conflicting

messages. She drills and grills grade levels on test scores. Then, she wants our evaluation lessons to be a circus performance.

I am thinking of meeting with her again, because I was in such shock, I didn't really say anything in my defense. I am so anxious because she could totally ruin my chances for tenure or delay it by one year. My other observation with the assistant principal was great.

Therefore, although I don't have any advice other than, I can totally understand what you are worried about! Hang in there!
