Clip to ScrapBook
I forgot to comment on how valuable the town's social worker and psychologist have been. When I asked for help from the multi-disciplinary team I got it right away. Go through your principal first.
The psychologist spent quite a bit of time documenting behaviors of my "special" students. The psychologist will get permission from the parents and then document the observations. This helps the parent to see what their child is like in school but it also helps you because they'll give you ideas you wouldn't have thought of otherwise.
The principal also spent time in my room observing the "special" students behavior. Her observations helped to support me when I was asking for help.
