What is a LINE?...

Ha!Ha! I know what a line is but my point is in my pre k room we are not allowed to LINE up the children. LINE is not in our vocabulary (except for art). We tell the kids to MEET by the ___ and if they form a line great if not we walk in a circle, square,mob..... whatever they happen to form. It is a forcing issue we do not make children do things they dont want to do. (I want to say I do NOT agree with it but it is my Job so I have to do it!)If they are to noisy we simply turnaround and go back to the room until they are ready to go wherever it is... We allow wispers but since our main hall ecos the rule is the teacher should not be able to Hear the voice.Thanks
