Don't base your effectiveness on a test. This is why I hate standardized testing! Your students could have had a bad day, or maybe the room was too warm, or cold, and affected their scores. Don't forget that the sample of questions on a test like the SAT are made to measure all areas and levels, so there are many levels of questions on there, to meet the needs of all the students. Relax, remember that a test cannot replace a teacher, and I am sure that you are an effective teacher! :-)
