    Some Questions for You
    By Richard

Here are some questions you might want to answer:

    - Do love kids, their high pitched little voices, their silly questions (to us), their endless "why's"?

    - Do you love being able to explain things, even if it's for the 30th time?

    - Can you stand being interrupted again and again?

    - Do you mind working nights and weekends?

    - Do you mind paper work, even if you don't really have time for it?

    - Can you take unwarranted criticism - as from an irate parent, or administrator?

The first one's are in my mind the most important. The others, well, we've come to live with them. And there are many more. Some of the posts on this site can give you a fell for some of the less likable aspects of this profession, but go to "Inspiration" for some of the better reasons for being a teacher. Nothing can beet the "I've Got It!" on a kid’s face!

I've worked in industry and in teaching. While getting a project done, with all its "at-a-boy's" can be nice. Seeing the progress all of the kids have made by the end of the year, now that is something!
