Starter Activity
By E. Lozano

Clip to ScrapBook
One effective way to get your children settled down before you begin your lesson is to have an activity they must complete as soon as they enter your room. It should be quick and easy and something they can complete without your guidance. For example, when my math class walks in, they must complete the daily activity problems I've put on the board. These problems are usually a quick review of concepts already taught. This allows your students to settle in quickly because they are not waiting for you to begin. Thier job is already laid out for them.
