I read the other posts, and I have to say it is just according to what kind of classroom you have. It happened to me one year, and if you are the new teacher it could have very well happened to you. You could have gotten more of your share of the discipline problems. Seems this happens to new teachers. It is a time for other teachers to clean out their rooms. Shame on the other teachers who do this to new teachers. The year it happened to me, we just kept them from harming themselves and others. No matter what you do, when you have 22 children out of 25 that are disciplines, youve had it. You just survive till the next year.
