Clip to ScrapBook
I sent the post without wrapping up my thoughts - oops. When you see a student showing nice manners or listening to you, thank the student. Verbal praise is worth so much. Randomly tell your class an example of the day when one of your students was doing something great. When students see praise being offered, they work hard to earn it for themselves. It takes a while to get the kids to listen, but it is worth the time, effort, and energy.
