I teach 3 sections of 6th grade Soc S. If students come prepared (have all supplies and homework) to class 15 times in a row, they get a little prize (piece of candy). One of the students (it's a helper job) goes around with the clipboard and class list at the beg. of class and does the checking for me so it's not something I have to do. It also turns out to be a good attendance-taking mechanism because the student will just mark "AB" if a student is absent. I can use the sheet to cross-reference missing papers because it shows me who was absent that day.
