I have a student who has this same problem. Last year, his 3rd grade teacher gave him large graph paper to do his work on. She would make copies and he would complete his math and spelling work on the paper. He doesn't use the paper this year because he worked so much on it at home with his parents, but I have the paper as a "Just in case.."
