What suffers
By Reggie

Clip to ScrapBook
I have found the same thing. I have spent so much time on reading, language arts, and math that my science and social studies suffers. My principal has issued a ridiculous edict stating that we have to have taught our entire
year before the "test" in April. I still haven't covered producers/consumers in Social Studies, I don't have any "maps" We are supposed to begin the Solar System and we are out for snow. Meanwhile another teacher has the genious of an idea of having an all day readathon and an extra hour of free reading time.

Now, next I will probably be chewed out because my scores will probably be

"low" in social studies and science. (However, if I move up a grade I would have the opportunity to show valued added growth in those subjects, so that could be good).

Anyway, I am so tired of being put on this "race for the test", it is ridiculous.
