Student loans

I live in California and am currently under a contract where I agreed to teach for four consecutive years in a low income school and in exchange I will have $11,000 of my student loans (and they are Stafford Loans) paid. At the end of the first year they pay $2000 then $3000 at the end of the next 3 years.
This is a state funded program so unless you live in CA it won't be of much help for you, but I just wanted to let you know that programs like that are out there. Check the financial aid office at a college/university in your area, they have lots of information about loan assumption programs. Good luck!
