Clip to ScrapBook
Lets face it a large number of our students have problems that go beyond what the teacher or school can control or fix. Many parents have issues that have nothing to do with school but find that it is a place where they can
place blame and let out frustrations.

Most times these parents have the same problems at home but don't want to be the "bad guy" all the time by punishing for behavior at home and punishing for behavior at school. So they feel school is the teacher's problem..." You figure out a way to deal with it." This woman probably works all day and comes home to the grandparents unloading the

problems of the child on her. I'm not trying to give her an excuse for her rude behavior but a way to understand where she is coming from and to not take it too personally.

So the best you can do is to be as positive as possible. Try to find even the smallest thing he does well so that sometimes you have good things to say about her child. That way she won't be so ready to say you are mistreating her child or the other one I have heard..The teacher doesn't like my child.

Good luck. I know it can be tough!
