angry parents
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
I've had this happen to me in the past and it is never a pleasant situation. I would take this to your Principal (this is their job) and let him/her help you to handle this.

Thankfully the parent who reacted to me had
already caused problems in previous years and in the community so I was in the clear. You said you have been documenting things and it also seems obvious that other teacher's know about this student as well. I would think you should be in the clear too.

I told my Principal that from that point on I would only meet with the parents in person and only with him in the meeting. I did

not take phone calls from the parents and they were told that they had to call the school to arrange all future meetings.

Some parents are not willing to see their child as they are. Also if they had bad experiences themselves in school they often believe it is happening to their child as well.

I hope things work out for you.
