    What's best for the kids

    The bottom line in any placement SHOULD be what's best for the kids. If your class isn't the best placement, then your team leader should be able to accept that. I don't think you should be overly concerned about taking it to the administration, especially if, as the above poster pointed out, you have far mor IEP students already. You are not running the special ed class. You have what appears to be a legitimate reason for concern. Stick to your guns unless the admin. or team leader can give you a really good reason to do otherwise.

    P.S. You explained the situation in writing so well. You might want to present your case in writing so you don't forget anything.
