Saxon Math
By rth

Clip to ScrapBook
I used Saxon for two years and my students were very successful in learning math skills and concepts. It is time consuming, but in my experience, it was time well spent. I would suggest including more of teh Morning Math. As I continued the activities day after day, I found that my students steadily improved in recognizing patterns, skip counting, telling time, and counting money. I even added fractions, tallying, and comparing numbers with symbols to my morning math.

This year our district adopted a new program (Silver Burdette) which I do not like as much as Saxon. I have continued the Saxon morning math while teaching the new series.
