Thank you for your advice. Like I said this is my first year and so I have never used any other programs. In my student teaching we used Math Their Way and I was so impressed by the results. I teach my kids every subject.| I do not do the Morning Math like it says in the teachers guide but I do a Math Warm up as an intro into the math lesson and use some of the ideas from the Morning Math stuff. My students struggle with the patterns, money and telling time so that I really focus on but that takes so much time and sometimes the lessons are so long that I can't take longer for the Warm Up. advice though and see if I can find some old math books and maybe take one day a week to do that. If I remember correctly we review the math series this year and I will bring up my concerns. I do not want to bad mouth Saxon I am sure it works well for others but in our school I am not seeing it work.
