Never burn your bridges
By Melissa

Clip to ScrapBook
Old time-worn advice. I burned mine when I up and quit my fifth grade position a few years back after a thirty-day notice. I found the job intolerable. Only problem was, a couple of years later I decided to return to teaching.
I really wanted to work in that distict, but I knew I couldn't. I was not exactly "nice" to the principal or his assistant before I left, mainly due to the stress I was feeling. I was snubbed by principals in the district when I met them. It was awful, but I knew very well why they did it.

I am now back in teaching again in another district for the fourth year. It's hard.

It's still stressful, but it's what I trained for. I think I do a good job at it.

You may want to return, too, someday, so be careful how you approach this.
