hope all is going well

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach a group of kindergarten kids in the inner city. most of them had seen little or no structured learning before. After days of informal teaching, and months of fitting routines to match the capabilities of the students, they are a "normal kindergarten class." It really doesn't matter where they are. They deserve to learn, and with patience, they really can do it. I do agree to ditch the first week of formal plans. Some of these kids honestly didn't know how to move from one center to another, how to use an inside voice, etc.....Anyway, I am having a blast now and find it to be a truly rewarding experience. I hope you find it to be the same.
