I agree that you need to make contact with the parents but I am sure that you have already done that. Most kids that act and talk like this have parents that do not care about them and use words like that themselves. I totally agree that taking recess away does not fit the crime. That child needs to be put in ISS (if you have it) or given an after-school detention.
