I have had children like your poky in the past. God bless you. Thankfully my pokies, are "normal" in all respects other than dragging every thing out. I can not offer you a solution, because I can't figure out what to do myself. I am afraid my kids will be slow for the rest of their lives. I can see it now, 10 years from now...I will sit forever at a drive thru window and finally get up to the window and see my little pokie dragging around in there with a line of cars waiting saying, "hey....how you doing....do you remember when we ....."
