First Year
By Melissa

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a first year teacher, and I love the advice that I see on this board. When I post, even if it's just to vent, I feel pretty bad if I don't get any replies. The advice I get on this board from more experienced teachers
gives me something to think about, whether or not I actually decide to take the advice. I'm always open to different opinions, but I am sure enough of myself to make my own decision. Frankly, I love when I get tons of advice, because then I have many more ideas than I could have thought of myself.
At school, I feel the same way. I let my opinions be heard (loud and clear, most of the
time), but I also listen to the advice from those who have been there longer and "know the ropes". I would be way too stressed and frustrated all the time if I didn't have this board and those other teachers at my school.
