Clip to ScrapBook
It sounds like you are on the same emotional rollercoaster as I am. I agree that we first-years need our own board just for VENTING. When I first went to this board I was thrilled to have a place to vent. People were supportive
and listened to my problems without trying to solve them. But lately people have been replying to my comments with advice that (duh) I already thought of, making me feel as though they think I had little more formal training than one grade higher than the one I teach. Quite frankly, I have LOTS of sources I can turn to for help ... family and friends who are teachers, books,
college courses, workshops, other websites. But there are few places where I can honestly vent OR express joys without people getting sick of me really quickly.

Also, I am really tired of the up-tight, critical nature of THIS site.

Like you, I would like a site where first years could vent, support, and joke ... free of the same know-it-alls who post what they (and others) perceive as the end-all solution to your complicated problems. If you can figure a way to make such a site, I will join you on it. Because I am sick of this one.
