I spent two years teaching in an isolated community with limited housing. My second year, I was forced to share a house with two male teachers for three months. (They were the best roommates, I ever had!)Anyone my students(Grade
one and twos also) were very interested. Their jaws job when they would see a man leaving their teacher's house. They eventually decided one was my husband and the other had to be my brother. I would straighten them out with stories of their own lives. Just because Bobby and Susy play together that doesn't mean they kiss, etc...
Later in the year..we had another housing problem

and one of the male teachers moved backed in with me. At this point, most of the children didn't care. However, I had one girl who when the opportunity was right would comment on my boyfriend Mr. So and So. I discovered it was best just to ignore her, and the comments soon went away.
