By Counselor?

Our counselors are too busy with programs for bus safety, dental health, and "sharing" so that all the teachers may have 30 minutes planning period. Our counselor does NO one on one counseling. Besides, usually the guidance counselors around here take their classes at a nearby elementary school in the evenings. These classes are taught by supervisors and administrators of our district. Being a guidance counselor is considered a way out of the classroom other than becoming a principal around here.
