Frustrated but not thinking of quitting
By Frustrated new teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
As a recent post (today to be honest) I am frustrated but I made a descision to teach knowing that I would not be rich nor would I get a lot of respect from the others I meet. I am not willing to give up on education as
my prefession though. The rewards of the students learning and growing outways the financial and parental difficulties I might face. I have student who had f's and d's last quarter. He now has b's and even some A's. I am not fudging his grades I am actually hardeer on him than the other students because i know he can do it but wasn't showing me the first quarter. My point is that I
think I was prepared in my college courses to be aware of the issues I would need to deal with but I know that others I have met were not. This I feel plays a part in the short term rate of new teachers.
