Also compared to another teacher
By hurt feelings

Clip to ScrapBook
Augh, and the worst was when I had ANOTHER TEACHER say, "Wow, isn't Mr. So-and-So just GREAT with the kids. The kids just gravitate towards him." Now, I don't want to say, "What about me?" like a spoiled brat, but this
kind of irritated me because Mr. So-and-So and I SHARE kids. So it was kind of like she was saying, "Wow, those kids you and Mr. So-and-So have just love him."

Now it has reached a point with Mr. So-and-So that I feel like it's a competition. I want the kids to like coming to my class, so I feel I need to do more "fun" projects (still learning-oriented, of course). And YES, I know

this is a terrible attitude because I'm supposed to be their teacher, not their friend, and NO, I didn't plan to be like this, so please don't reply saying that my line of thinking is totally wrong. It's just that I am only human, and I did get my feelings hurt by being compared to another teacher.
