Parents
By Tammy

Clip to ScrapBook
Helen is right! Don't return those calls on your own time. Let the principal know what is going on. It was easy for parents at my school to get my number. There are only 2 of us in the phone book and the other one is my mother-in-law. It got to be constant. Parents calling just to complain about little things. I always check the caller-ID and never answer when I know it's a parent. I won't return calls from home. I've found that parents don't seem to think we have a family or life outside of school, especially in a private school situation. Their belief is that they are paying tuition, therefore, the teacher is at my beck and call. Talk to your principal and see if he has any other suggestions for putting an end to this situation. Good luck!
