Don't stay too late!
By Julie

Clip to ScrapBook
My best advice, is to make sure you don't stay to late at school. If you're staying late at school, you won't be enthusiastic when it's time to get up and do it again the next morning. I notice that when I stay late at school one night, I feel really cranky about not getting any time for myself.
I put in long hours at school during my first year. (This is my fourth year.) I was exhausted that year. It will get better. You'll put in fewer hours your second year and you'll be so much more confident about what you're doing. I think everyone considers a career change their first year of teaching. Hang in there!
